Mild-mannered 6-year-old Mable Tooke has donned her Spider-Mable mantle today so as to fight crime on the streets of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. She recently received an urgent call from Mayor Don Iveson about a missing hockey player; America’s own Spider-Man will act as the sidekick to Canada’s own web-slinging heroine on this important mission. This city-wide event, organized by The Children’s Wish Foundation, will unfold over the course of the day.

The fictional (or is it???) newscast above details the difficult task at hand for Spider-Mable; you can follow her exploits via the #SpiderMable tag on Twitter. The young cancer fighter will first undergo superhero training at the Galaxy Zoo, and next she’ll collect some clues that will lead her to the location of the kidnapped Oilers team-mate — who she’ll then find and rescue, assuming all goes well. But we have faith in Spider-Mable’s abilities! She’s definitely gonna crack this one.
