The news that Marvel’s New Warriors television show will feature Doreen Green was something that set the internet abuzz with excitement and casting speculation. It’ll likely be a while until we see Squirrel Girl on the screen though, so here’s an amazing fan-made trailer to tide you over.

Director Patrick (H) Willems continues his awesome Youtube series of “If X Directed Y” (also see his take on X-Men by Wes Anderson or his thoughts on Marvel blandness) with a new video imagining what a Squirrel Girl movie directed by John Woo might look like. Woo, who’s known for his iconic action sequences and use of slow motion, is the man behind Hong Kong action films like The Killer, the historical epic Red Cliff, and U.S. movies like Mission: Impossible II. As a result, the trailer is full of Chloe Holgate shooting some acorns, running through all kinds of warehouses, and walking menacingly like she’s Chow Yun-fat on his last job for the Triad.

What do you think of the trailer? How much do you want a squirrel gun now?
