I don’t know who has the time to construct these amazing maps in Halo, but this one is giving me all kinds of Star Wars prequel nostalgia.

A user by the name of CaptainDirewolf made this Halo 5 map called “Boonta Eve”, and if it looks similar to a scene in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, that’s because it is. CaptainDirewolf recreated the podracing course from the film, using a particular game glitch to transform those Ghost vehicles into podracers that resemble those of Anakin Skywalker’s and Sebulba’s, among others. Unfortunately, you still have to drive them as a Spartan–but hey, the podracing scene was probably my only real favorite scene in the entire movie. So I’ll take this any way I can get it.

The only other downside is that there’s no respawning in this map–so if you die during the podrace, your only chance of keeping your head in the game is by taking other podracers out from the cliffs above the course (just like the Tusken Raiders did in the movie!). And you can’t technically win the podrace since a game type hasn’t been defined yet–you have to play by honor rules, people!

So go, race on the recreated Tatooine podracing course to your heart’s content. You can check out the video above which demonstrates a little gameplay.
