About two years ago, a man named Matthew Latkiewicz commenced a project called Star Wars Yoga, which consisted of an ever-expanding series of Star Wars-inspired poses and stretches with names like “Downward Facing Wookie,” “X-Wing Extended,” “Collapsed AT-AT,” and “Half I Am Your Father.” In the two years since, the Internet has periodically rediscovered and celebrated Latkiewicz’s creations, but they’ve existed primarily as a series of funny poses with even funnier names … until now.

Techland reporter Allie Townsend recently went to the very public setting that is Central Park, where a sweatband-wearing Latkiewicz gave her a lesson on the finer points of Star Wars Yoga. (Apparently, making bleeping and blooping noises when performing the R2-D2 is highly necessary.)
