Spoilers for the season 7 premiere episode, but how have you avoided them up until now?
Met with lots of cheers, Steven Yeun went on Conan to talk about the reactions to his character’s death on The Walking Dead. “I feel dead in real life,” the actor says, adding that watching his friends cry was an intense experience, “but I got to bug my eye out, so that was cool.” Fortunately, Yeun has a new gig as Conan’s rehearsal stand-in which, as you can see in the clip above, he crushed.
Yeun also recounted what was perhaps the most awkward fan encounter for the first time: getting a colonoscopy from a Walking Dead fan. Oof. For even more uncomfortable revelations, Conan shared that Yeun corrected the host on how to pronounce his last name—four years after knowing each other, talking to one another, and even dancing together. In this clip, Yeun (rhymes with “bun”) shares the awkward encounters lot of Asian kids will recognize including the hesitance to correct people when they mispronounce your name and the adoption of a more “American” name because “we met a doctor named Steven.”
I wouldn’t mind Steven Yeun hosting a show and playing guitar non-stop. How about you?
