Not long ago, we were super excited (not crying at all) about a really well done Doctor Who tribute animation. Then, we spent a whole bunch of time laughing about what happened when our own Victoria McNally put it through a YouTube mashup generator (mute the left video) with A-ha’s “Take on Me.” Turns out, she wasn’t the only one with that idea.

TheFlixx took it one step further and actually put the song and video together for your viewing pleasure. Really, though, the song’s original music video is where the inspiration for this mashup comes from. Check it out to see why the song fits so well in both, but be prepared for all the `80s you can handle.

You can now add “Doctor Who tributes” to the list of things that are improved by the classic `80s jam. What else is on the list? “Everything.” Everything is improved by “Take on Me.”
