Did you read Mindy Kaling’s book, Why Not Me? If you did, why didn’t you tell us that she totally predicted the plot of Aziz Ansari’s (heartbreakingly) hilarious hit show, Master of None? You can be honest, we won’t judge (too much).

But no, seriously, apparently in Kaling’s book, she was ripping on TV Tropes and wrote up some of her own. A lot of them were swipes at common modern TV themes, but this one resonated in particular because it actually accurately predicted all the plot points of Master of None. It’s just especially striking that she was able to totally figure out the plot of the first episode with what felt like a sarcastic jab at television in general, not necessarily Ansari himself.

Obviously she didn’t write this about Master of None specifically, but… damn.
