Tatiana Maslany, star of the BBC America hit Orphan Black, is reportedly in the running for one of the standalone Star Wars movies coming our way in the next few years.
We love Tatiana Maslany. Like, love her, love her, love her. So we’re happy to see The Hollywood Reporter report that Maslany is set to audition for one of the non-episodic Star Wars films. We actually don’t know a ton about the standalone films at this point. Recently, writer Gary Whitta left the Gareth Edwards-directed one, which has a release date of Dec. 16, 2016. Josh Trank is directing another. Word is we’ll likely see a Han Solo and/or Boba Fett solo film.

Rooney Mara, who starred in the David Fincher version of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is also due to test this week among a handful of others, according to multiple sources.
Additionally Felicity Jones, who just received an Oscar nomination for best actress for her work in The Theory of Everything, is said to be on the wantlist although there may be scheduling issues.
