If you spent the entirety of Avengers: Infinity War waiting for Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie to show up and save everyone’s butts, you weren’t alone. Fans have been vocal in their disappointment over her absence, as well as their fear that she may not even have made it out of Thanos’ attack on the Asgardian ship, where we last saw her at the end of Thor: Ragnarok.
Did she die on that ship? (We refuse to accept that as a possibility and choose to believe she is somewhere in space, guiding Asgardians to safety.) Did Thompson have scheduling conflicts or something during IW? Did Marvel just not anticipate how strongly fans would respond to her character? Whatever the reason for her absence, Thompson addressed it this weekend in a spectacular subtweet.

Before you say anything, yes, she knows she got the title wrong.

In case it didn’t immediately click, the tweet is a reference to one of the greatest Twitter accounts of all time, Tessa as Goats, which just posts pictures of goats that resemble Tessa Thompson.

Tessa Thompson retweets a lot of goat memes. Her Twitter bio states “Mostly, I talk about Goats.” She herself, as we all know, is G.O.A.T. So while we would have loved to have seen Valkyrie in Infinity War, and even though this doesn’t actually answer any of the questions we have about Valkyrie’s whereabouts or whether she’ll appear in Avengers 4, her tweet still makes us super happy.
