Ever been to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay? The interactive exhibit has been closed for the past month or so, but once it opens back up on October 24th, fans of the BBC show can expect to see a new face leading them into the heart of the TARDIS—specifically, Peter Capaldi’s.
Written by Joseph Lidster and directed by Paul Wilmshurst (both of whom have experience in the franchse: Lidster with Torchwood and Sara Jane Adventures, Wilmshurt with Doctor Who) the new scripted storyline will be accompanied by props, costumes, and set pieces from the most recent season of the show. Given the above trailer, we can also probably expect the new story to tie into the events of Day of the Doctor, the 50th anniversary episode that gave us our first glimpse of Twelve and dealt heavily with Gallifrey’s Time War.
In case you’re jonesing for a look at the new experience, you’ll be able to start ordering your tickets early on October 7th at the Doctor Who Experience website. Fans who get tickets for the time between October 24th and November 30th can also pay extra for the chance to visit the Doctor Who sets at Roath Loak Studios. Don’t suppose someone could, I don’t know, fly us to the UK for a weekend as well?
