The Lexus hoverboard, powered by “superconducting magnetic levitation,” looks like a skateboard powered by a dry ice machine. It can hover 3-4 inches above the ground, or lower depending upon the weight of its rider, and it’s undeniably slicker and sleeker in appearance than the Hendo hoverboard that came out last year.

Pro skateboarders in our midst will take to this new form of transport with ease; the rest of us may need to practice a bit to keep up. Also, one can only assume that cyberpunk-meets-skater fashions will come back in style any day now, just in time for Marty McFly to come and visit us all here in the future.
