You know how we’re all crying about reboots of shows? Granted, there are too many of them, but what if we got The Office back and just let Mike Schur make television for the rest of time? To make our love of the show run that much deeper, some of the cast got together to have brunch with each other and decided to recreate their office photo for Christmas.
For those who have been living under a rock and missed the years of The Office, the show followed the inner workings of a paper company called Dunder Mifflin. Michael Scott, the World’s Best Boss, constantly made the lives of his employees that much more difficult, and yet, they still loved him and all the quirks that made him Michael.
We all miss the show very much, and the fact that the cast met up for a very special brunch has us blaming a koi pond for all the tear stains on our shirts.
I had brunch with these oddballs today. Love you #officemates #theoffice pic.twitter.com/UWnkOaU1p3

The problem was that they didn’t have Jim Halpert, Michael Scott, Kelly Kapoor or more to help fulfill this classic photograph.
We were attempting to recreate this photo :) Happy Holidays! We missed you Steve, Ellie, John, BJ, Mindy, Craig and Kate! We will see you soon! pic.twitter.com/P1kvaxn8FS

Of course, the internet could not resist a good opportunity for (many, many) Office references.

And, as would be expected, some of the actors may still be playing their parts.
Kevin and Stanley are still in character. pic.twitter.com/Q7a0XINzjv

The big question on everyone’s mind though?
Who invited Toby?
— Terry Fox (@theterryfox) December 3, 2018
Fischer explained in a response that Steve Carell was, in fact, invited, despite what his Saturday Night Live monologue would have you think, but he was in London promoting a movie and Mindy Kaling, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Kate Flannery, Craig Robinson, and Ellie Kemper couldn’t make it.
To finish out my love of The Office and this cast, please cry with me to the perfect sendoff to Michael Scott. When he is planning on moving from Scranton to go live with Holly, his coworkers write him their own version of “Seasons of Love” to commemorate his time at Dunder Mifflin.
