The Queen of Katwe follows the real-life story of 10-year-old Phiona (Madina Nalwanga) and her family struggling with life in the slum of Katwe in Kampala, Uganda. Things start to look up when a missionary named Robert Katende (David Oyelowo) teaches her how to play chess. After growing fascinated with the game, she soon becomes a top player and finds success in local competition. It’s those winning that just might lead to a better life outside of poverty.

In honor of the film’s digital release on January 10, Disney posted a heartwarming clip of the cast talking out their dreams and aspirations, and even includes the real Phiona, now 20 according to ABC, discussing how she’s now studying to become a lawyer. The film also stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o as Phiona’s mother. A second clip reveals how she bonded with her on-screen children by learning more about what they wish to do with their lives. Prepare for maximum cuteness.

The film was directed by Mira Nair and will be available on Blu-ray on January 31, 2017.
