We’re still calling it Other Walking Dead.
Seriously though, this is weird right? The first we heard of Other Walking Dead was back in September of 2013. It’s been in the works but so far, no one involved has actually revealed what it will be about exactly. And considering we’re already at the pilot stage, you’d think we’d know. Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd will be acting as producers and Dave Alpert is set as showrunner.
The Hollywood Reporter have this to offer from AMC.
In a release, AMC touted that the premise — kept closely under wraps — would focus on what’s going on in the zombie apocalypse in other parts of the world.
“There are many corners of The Walking Dead universe that remain unseen in the shadows. Being given the opportunity to shine a light into those corners and see what lurks out there is an absolute thrill. I know the fans are anxious to hear what Dave and I have been cooking up for this new universe of ‘The Walking Dead,’ and I’m happy to be one step closer to sharing it with them,” Kirkman said.
So what do you think? It feels like they just want to make a show exactly like The Walking Dead but with different people. Is that something fans want or does the show get great ratings because of the characters?
