Good news for TV watchers who are still psychologically broken from the finale of Roseanne: the zombie apocalypse drama The Walking Dead is not going to end with Rick Grimes still being stuck in his pilot episode coma. Wait, actually? For TV watchers who’ve been psychologically broken by TWD, that might be a bad thing. We’re sorry for your apocalyptic non-loss.

The popular theory’s been kicking around on the Internet for a while now, but started up pick up traction after Uproxx released an article titled “Robert Kirkman Needs To Go On The Record Promising The Walking Dead Won’t End As Rick Grimes’ Coma Dream.” And he did! Dreams really do come true. They are then promptly replaced by horrific nightmares as is The Walking Dead‘s custom, but you know what? After five seasons and so many comic book issues, I think we can all handle what he’s got for us. Bring it!

I… oh. I was wrong. Thanks, Kirkman? If you need me, I guess I’ll be crumpled in this ball under my desk crying over imaginary Carl.
