- The 18-year-old Kansas woman who tweeted Governor Sam Brownback “sucks” on her personal feed will in fact not be writing that apology letter her high school told her to for “damage control” purposes. She’s up to 3,000 Twitter followers from her previous 65 thanks to the scandal and said she thinks it helped “open up dialogue” about free speech and social media. (via Jezebel) EDIT: The Governor has since publically apologized to HER. “My staff overreacted to this tweet, and for that I apologize,” said Governor Brownback in a statement on his Facebook page. “Freedom of speech is among our treasured freedoms.” (via The New York Times)
