The first Trolls (2016) movie reinvented an iconic toy into a whole new pop culture force. The trolls, little beings with neon colors and spikey hair, are naturally filled with happiness. So much so that other creatures want to eat them just to feel a bit of that joy. The eternally optimistic Princess Poppy (Ana Kendrick) saves her village and becomes friends with their former enemies. But she couldn’t have done it without Branch (Justin Timberlake), a troll who is more of a doomsday prepper than a hugger.

Trolls World Tour (2020) expanded the Trolls universe. Poppy—now the Queen—and her friends find out there are other troll communities. Each one is associated with a different type of music. Poppy’s trolls are the “Pop Trolls” since they all sing pop music. But there are also Techno, Funk, Classical, Country, and Hard Rock Trolls. When the evil Hard Rock Queen Barb (Rachel Bloom) tries to take over, the Trolls have to blend their music styles to save the day. This movie also gave us Tiny Diamond (Kenan Thompson), one of the best animated creations to date.

Even if the storylines aren’t anything out of the ordinary, the Trolls franchise sets itself apart with its rocking soundtracks. Most of the voice cast are vocalists in some capacity. So, not only do the movies pick fun songs, we get to hear new versions of them, like True Colors in the first film. The second film especially opened up new music styles for kids who maybe hadn’t heard it before. What other movie has classical music and Reggaeton? Somehow, World Tour got the vocal talents of Kelly Clarkson, Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, and Mary J. Blige, all in one movie.

Now we are getting a third installment in the Trolls franchise. Here’s everything we know about Trolls Band Together.

When does the new Trolls movie come out?

Trolls Band Together has already been released in some parts of the world. In the United States, the new Trolls movie will be released in theaters on November 17. So your kids—and you—don’t have to wait too much longer for the third installment.

What is the plot of Trolls 3?

Poppy and Branch are officially a couple, and King Gristle Jr. and Bridget are getting married! So much love. We also find out Branch has a secret boy band past (yes, all the NSYNC girlies are screaming) with his actual brothers. Although he hasn’t seen them in years, Branch and Poppy set out to save them when one gets abducted by two Pop Trolls.

Trolls Band Together Trailer

Poppy and Branch are headed to the wedding of Gristle and Bridget, and of course, Tiny Diamond is the cutest little flower man. Branch’s long-lost brother interrupts the wedding and reveals Branch was once in the boy band BroZone. They must get the family band back together, whether Branch likes it or not, to save one of their brothers.

The boy band puns are never going to stop in this one.
