Our first full look at Tom Hardy as the symbiote-laden anti-hero has arrived, and the Internet has responded in the accustomed fashion.
There sure is a lot happening in this here trailer, which is almost three full minutes of action and shows us a ton about the movie. What am I most excited about? Why yes, it’s Rogue One‘s Riz Ahmed, looking amazing and menacing. In fact, the whole Venom cast seems strong, with Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson also announced. Tom Hardy has generally been known to commit to the bit.
But this trailer doesn’t do much for me, and I’m not alone.
Finally watched the VENOM trailer. Wow what a harrowing experience to see an entity being forced to take on a persona that’s not in its true nature.
But enough about Sony trying to still make superhero films. Let’s talk about that trailer, which looked terrible.
