Our first full look at Tom Hardy as the symbiote-laden anti-hero has arrived, and the Internet has responded in the accustomed fashion.

There sure is a lot happening in this here trailer, which is almost three full minutes of action and shows us a ton about the movie. What am I most excited about? Why yes, it’s Rogue One‘s Riz Ahmed, looking amazing and menacing. In fact, the whole Venom cast seems strong, with Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson also announced. Tom Hardy has generally been known to commit to the bit.

But this trailer doesn’t do much for me, and I’m not alone.

However, another side of the Internet had … an entirely different sort of reaction.

OK, kids! I think it’s time to pack up the Internet for a while and take a long walk outside.

So what’d you think of the trailer and Twitter’s new mancrush?
