The first Dishonored game was certainly compelling, from its stealth mechanics to the fun array of abilities on offer for the player, but it was always a shame that in the first game, we didn’t get to have the chance to get to know the Empress… given that she dies almost as soon as you meet her, leaving behind her young daughter Emily.
In Dishonored 2, much time has passed, and Emily has grown up—and now, she’s a much bigger player in the events of the story. Voice actor Erica Luttrell voices Emily’s part in Dishonored 2, and she sat down with us for a long chat about Emily’s situation in the game, as well as her own acting career.
In the game, you can play as either Emily or as Corvo, the protagonist from the first game who serves here as a mentor and father figure to Emily. For more information about all of that, check out our review of the game—or, for even more details about how the creative team brought Emily’s character to life, check out our interview with narrative designer Cara Ellison, who worked on Dishonored 2.
