Thanks to this awesome Super Bowl commercial, we now have a new trailer and a premiere date for the second season of Stranger Things.
Starting off with a vintage 80s-looking (perfect for this show) Eggo commercial, we finally have a good look at what the new season has in store, complete with spot-on Ghostbuster Halloween costumes–fitting for the series’ Halloween 2017 return date. (Not to mention some sort of giant sky monster straight out of Lovecraft’s brain.)
Following the trailer, Eggo’s Twitter account threw some love at the show.
TFW your commercial gets interrupted, but it’s @Stranger_Things so you’re not even mad. #StrangerThings pic.twitter.com/jPD84aMxPk

They also sent out this trippy question:

Stranger Things’ account responded in perfect fashion
@eggo sorry about the glitch during your Big Game ad. We have the Hawkins A/V club looking into it.

Honestly, if I ever had a paranormal (or even just basic technical) problem to be fixed, those are the exact kids I’d want on the job.
.@Stranger_Things It’s cool. Just one question, is Eleven back?! Friends don’t lie to each other. pic.twitter.com/cM4fruC6nL

Netflix clearly felt left out of this whole thing.
@eggo @Stranger_Things this is a very eggo-centric conversation

Let’s start counting down those days to Halloween.
