These two young girls, both wearing their BatgirlĀ finest, founded Wear Your Superheroes Day last year, and October 1st will mark the second annual celebration ofĀ superhero-themed apparel for all genders.Ā Adalina and Leanna are now 8 and 6 years old, and their love of BatmanĀ and countless other superheroes has not abetted since last year. The event began because Leanna’s classmates were teasing her about her clothes, saying that “superheroes are for boys” — but we all know that’s notĀ true! This year, Leanna and Adalina’s parents told Women You Should KnowĀ that the event inspired “a lot more confidence” in Leanna. We bet other kids have benefited as well.

Participate inĀ theĀ event virtually via their Facebook page, and don’t forget to wear your favorite heroic outfit this Thursday!
