And I'll have this song stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Let me just get this out of the way first: Weird Al Yankovic is fantastic. One of our contributors wrote an awesome piece about meeting him in person a few months back, and obviously he is just as delightful IRL as you imagine he would be.

When he released the accompanying music videos to his latest, Grammy Award-winning(!) album, Mandatory Fun, they went viral—including a Nerdist-produced parody of Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” called “Tacky”.

In celebration of the Mandatory Fun world tour, Weird Al has put out a ‘live’ music video for “Tacky”, and it’s ridiculously awesome. In the caption on the YouTube video, Weird Al shared a little BTS info on how the video came about:

Between May 12 and Oct. 9, 2015, my band and I performed 112 concerts as part of our Mandatory World Tour, and almost every show started out with a performance of my song “Tacky.” As the audience watched on a giant LED screen, a camera crew would follow me as I sang the song, starting from some point outside (or deep within) the venue and eventually winding up on stage. It was always fun for us, because obviously the venues were different every night and every performance of the song was unique. We recorded about half of these performances, and I’ve spent the last few days editing together this little memento.

The best part about this version of “Tacky” is when the audience realizes they’re being filmed live—and the other neatness? That Weird Al and the camera crew filming him did this before almost every show.

You can watch the full video below, and if you went to any shows on the tour maybe you’ll be able to spot your own city.
