HBO’s Westworld, the show that you can never read too much into, has a new trailer out. Unsurprisingly, it’s full of so many characters, plot points, and new worlds that you’ll be plenty busy speculating until the show returns on April 22nd. Series composer Ramin Djawadi continues his enchanting, anachronistic instrumental soundtrack with a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box”, which could hardly be more appropriate for the show’s human vs host themes. Trailers often give away too much and risk spoilers, but with Westworld‘s multiple locations, timelines, and twists, there’s nothing but anticipation here.
Bernard/Arnold is having a conversation with Dolores, Delos Corporation has some dangerous new plans, and Maeve is trying to find her daughter. Dolores is riding a horse, causing mayhem with a reluctant Teddy, wandering a library, and making an appearance in the real world. Young William and older William are going to make appearances. Finally, we’ll also be entering Shōgun World where we’ll be seeing Rinko Kikuchi as Akane!
There’s so much happening, but we’ll have to wait until next month to see how it unfolds. All I know is that I am very terrified of Dolores. Are you excited for season 2?
