Oh, Will Smith. You’ve had this country in the palm of your hands since you rapped about your life getting flip-turned upside down all those years ago. And I’m not saying you haven’t had your times of letting your mind-blowing power go to your head, or letting it go to your children’s head. But you’ve still got some of the Fresh Prince in you, right? So don’t screw this up. Please? Because I secretly hold an undying love for both the 1982 and 1999 film adaptations of Annie, not to mention the fact that that little orphan that could is probably one of the most successful comic book adaptations of all time.

Plus, you’ve got Emma Thompson. When has she ever truly screwed anything up? She’s great. Just let her do her thing, and let your daughter be the shockingly fly little girl that she is, and maybe we can come out of this for the most part unscathed?
