According to a recent Fandango survey, Wonder Woman is the “primary draw” of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Deadline exclusively reports that 88% of people polled said they were excited to see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, while 60% of respondents said they’re also hype for Eisenberg’s take on Lex Luther. Deadline goes on to explain,

82% said they’ve seen Snyder’s Man Of Steel, while 66% are fans of his work. More than half of those polled at 61% said they’ll see BvS more than once. And in regards to the playground hypothetical –who would you root for: Batman or Superman? — 59% are standing with Batman, while 41% are on Team Superman.

Dawn of Justice currently has a 98% want-to-see rating on Fandango’s “Fanticipation” scale, despite some scathing early reviews and a middling (albeit early) Rotten Tomato score.

Fandango’s surveys have offered valuable insight into ticket sales demographics in the past, with results that frequently challenge the narrative that female-led action movies aren’t profitable. In their January most-anticipated-movie-of-2016 poll, Star Wars: Rogue One was rated highest, followed by Finding Dory and Dawn of Justice. Wonder Woman also ranked highest in Fandango’s “Most Anticipated Comic Book Character Debuting in a Major Role in 2016” poll.

Although The Mary Sue writers who have already seen Dawn of Justice were…less than impressed (“I left feeling like I’d had just been yelled at by someone I don’t know on a bus”), it’s awesome to see how many people are excited for Wonder Woman’s debut in the film—honestly, she’s the only reason I’m going to see this movie.
