By now you may have heard of Google Instant?  You may have been surprised by it.  You may have used it, a number of times over.  But have you heard of YouTube instant?

YouTube Instant is was created this week by Feross Aboukhadijeh, and it is exactly what it sounds like.  A real-time search bar for YouTube, utilizing the search suggestions that pop up when you use the search bar on YouTube.com.  What ever is on the top gets searched, and the first result starts playing.

This attracted the attention of none other than Chad Hurley, co-founder and CEO of Youtube.

And it so far appears to be legit:

However, YouTube has not, at this point, responded to inquiries.

We extend our congratulations to Mr. Aboukhadijeh, at the least for attracting the positive attention of the CEO of the website he built a thing for, if not for bagging a job in a really awesome way.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
